  Income and Expenditure

  • Article 42 The income of the Academy shall consist of
    - the contributions of the members, fixed annually, according to Article 34 lett. i and Article 36 lett. i;
    - gifts and support from natural and legal persons;
    - activity carried out by its members within the framework of conventions or research contracts, according to Article 4, lett. e)
    - sale of its own publications;
    - other revenues obtained in accordance with its objectives.

  • Article 43 The income of the Academy shall be spent on its functioning, attaining its objects, acquisition and development of its own patrimony;

  • Article 44 The honorary members of the Academy shall be exempt from the payment of the annual contribution.
    The same applies to the sitting or corresponding members, aged over 75.

  • Article 45 The members of the leadership of the Academy who are performing eligible functions established by the General Assembly may receive monthly pay.

  • Article 46 Some of the income of the Academy shall be spent on the employment of permanent or temporary staff, according to Article 29 of this Statute.

  • Article 47 The Academy shall work out the income and expenditure budget and shall draw up the balance sheet according to the applicable legal provisions.

  • Article 48 The Academy may open an account at any bank in Romania or abroad, while observing the legislation in force.

  • Article 49 The financial operations of the Academy may be carried out only under the signature of the president or of a vice-president or general secretary, by the person in charge of the financial and accounting activity, designated by the president by means of a written nominal authorisation bearing the seal of the Academy.

  • Article 50 The financial and accounting activity and the administration of the Academy shall be carried out by skilled staff and shall be submitted to the control of the Auditing Commission composed of 3 members elected by the General Assembly for four years.
    The Auditing Commission shall carry out its activity on the basis of the unique regulations of checking the administration of the Academy and issuing financial reports.
